This accessibility statement applies to all content published on Fiosrú.ie. This website is run by the Fiosrú.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.
Some parts of this website, however, are not fully accessible, for example:
- you cannot modify the line height or spacing of text
- most older PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
- some of our online forms are difficult to navigate using just a keyboard
- some images do not have good alternative text
- some user interface elements are not highlighted when selected
- some templates could have improved colour contrast

Content that is not accessible
- Some images do not have alternative text or suitable alternative text.
- Some elements within pages do not have sufficient levels of colour contrast.
- Some pages cannot be found through more than one type of navigation.
- Some pages are not navigable without a mouse or through the sole use of a keyboard.
- Some pages do not have correctly ordered content.
- Not all user interface components can be programmatically determined by all users.
- Some pages include links of the same name that link to different destinations
PDFs and non-HTML documents
Many documents are not accessible in a number of ways including missing text alternatives and missing document structure.

How we did the test?
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level A and Level AA to test and audit the level of conformance.
We used the Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) approach to decide on a sample of pages to test and audit.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We have assembled a multi-disciplinary team who are working on accessibility on an ongoing basis. Departments and agencies are urgently fixing content which fails to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 AA standard. We will update this page when issues are fixed.
