Fiosrú's 2026 Action Plan

Fiosrú, the Office of the Police Ombudsman, has published its Action Plan for 2026, setting out the strategic priorities that will guide the work of the office this year.

Fiosrú's Action Plan is built around three strategic priorities.

1. Improve understanding of Fiosrú's role

2. Deal with complaints in a timely and effective manner, and in accordance with fair procedures

3. Promote confidence in the process for resolving complaints and in investigations

Delivery of these priorities is supported by five enablers: workforce capacity and capability, digital enablement, human rights, outreach, and financial sustainability and strong governance.
